Noe Valley Ministry

We kick off our Silver Season in style with an unusual instrument combination – cello and classical guitar. Angela Lee, known for her “amazing finesse, control and coloration” [San Francisco Chronicle], partners with Marc Teicholz, who has been described by Gramophone as “arguably the best of the new young guitarists to have emerged.” They will perform works by Christoph Schaffrath, Franz Schubert, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Radames Gnattali and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Join us for an AfterParty with the artists moderated by Bruce Lamott immediately following the concert.

CHRISTOPH SCHAFFRATH – Duetto in C Major (arr. for Cello and Guitar by Dusan Bogdanovic)
FRANZ SCHUBERT – Sonata in A Minor “Arpeggione” (arr. for Cello and Guitar by Marc Teicholz)
HEITOR VILLA-LOBOS – Aria (Cantilena) from Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5
RADAMES GNATTALI – Sonata for Cello and Guitar
ANTONIO CARLOS JOBIM – 4 songs (arr. by Sergio Assad)  Wave, Amparo, Luiza, Stone Flower

This Osher Inside Out Concert is made possible by the Grants for the Arts and the Bernard Osher Foundation. The AfterParty is generously sponsored by an anonymous donor and our friends at La Boulangerie de Noe.
