You’ll never hear music the same way again after having Rob Kapilow as your brilliant musical tour guide.
This program explores one of the seminal works of late twentieth century concert music: Shaker Loops by John Adams.

Led by co-Artistic Director Owen Dalby, the string septet on hand to play the work features returning favorites the St Lawrence String Quartet, Adams’s “favorite string quartet,” plus the composer’s son, Guggenheim-award-winning composer Samuel Carl Adams, and daughter-in-law Helen Kim, associate principal second violin of the San Francisco Symphony, as well as the greatly admired SF cellist Robert Howard.
